I shall be off the air for about two weeks. It has been a cold winter here in the DC suburbs and my long-suffering wife and I have decided that migratory birds have gotten it right. We need to go where it is warm.
We leave for Guatemala tomorrow. We’ll be back on the 19th. By the time I get things back together and catch up with doings in the sports world, I’ll probably have something posted on Monday 23 February.
Check back then…

Wow! Guatemala sounds nice. Seeing as I live just up the street (I-95) near Baltimore, I can fully understand your weather woes. Although today and yesterday have been warmer than usual, so there’s some irony in the fact that the cold decided to leave also. Anyway, have fun down south!
Curmudgeon: Did you go to Guatamala to search for the lost ruins of A-Rod’s reputation?
Rob:
Weather was great. Temps went into the high 70′s or low 80′s every day and into the high 50′s at night. I did not follow the weather patterns in the DC area, but somehow I doubt it got that warm.
Rich:
The search for what remains of A-Rod’s reputation might be as difficult as the search for the Holy Grail.
